What will your working days involve?
- Organising and carrying out 3D scans of existing plant installations,equipment and project areas, and using point-cloud data to accurately modelmodifications and new installations.
- Developing and maintaining 3D plant models in AutoCAD Plant 3D, based onprocess requirements and preliminary layouts provided by Process Engineers
- Designing equipment and piping layouts that take account of existinginstallations, construction requirements, access, operation and maintenance
- Producing detailed 3D and 2D engineering drawings for procurement,fabrication and construction
- Preparing plant layouts and drawings to support related civil andstructural design work
- Preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical information forpurchasing and project execution
- Working closely with Process Engineers, participating in design reviewsand coordinating design interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
- Identifying clashes, missing information, physical constraints andconstructability issues, and developing practical solutions with the relevantengineers
- Carrying out plant walk-downs, site checks and measurements to verifyexisting installations and design information
- Coordinating technical information and drawings with equipment suppliers,fabricators and subcontractors
- Supporting suppliers and contractors during fabrication and installation,and helping resolve design and site issues
- Preparing drawings and design information for projects carried out duringthe annual plant shutdown
- Taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy and presentation of yourmodels and drawings
- Managing your design workload across several projects within our Agileproject-delivery system, in line with agreed priorities and deadlines
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong practical 3D CAD modelling skills, ideally using AutoCAD Plant 3Dor a comparable industrial plant-design application.
- Experience developing detailed equipment, piping or industrial plantlayouts.
- The ability to translate engineering requirements, site information andpreliminary layouts into accurate, practical 3D designs.
- The ability to produce clear and accurate engineering drawings forprocurement, fabrication and construction.
- A practical understanding of equipment and piping fabrication,installation, access and maintenance.
- The ability and willingness to work on site, investigate existinginstallations, take measurements and verify design information.
- A keen eye for accuracy, consistency and detail.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with Process Engineers, otherengineering disciplines, suppliers and contractors.
- Good English language skills.
- A degree or another relevant higher-level qualification in MechanicalEngineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
It would be an advantage if you:
- Have experience using 3D laser scanning and point-cloud data for plantdesign.
- Have worked in a process plant or industrial production environment.
- Have experience with piping design and industrial piping systems.
- Have worked with food processing, fermentation, distillation,evaporation, drying or other hygienic processes.
- Are familiar with hygienic design principles.
- Understand ATEX, PED or other relevant industrial design requirements.
- Have coordinated designs with fabricators, equipment suppliers orinstallation contractors.
- Have worked in an Agile project-delivery or development environment.
- Have Hungarian and/or Portuguese language skills.
