Dunaföldvár, 6 June 2025 – The cleanup of the biogas fermentation leak at our site has been successfully completed. Over the past few weeks, we have worked diligently to restore the area to its normal condition. The remediation was carried out using chemical-free, environmentally friendly technologies, with support from qualified subcontractors.
The leaked material, a corn fiber-based soil conditioner is harmless to human health and the environment, though it does have an unpleasant odor. It has been fully removed from the entire plant area and transported to designated storage facilities.
We have cooperated closely with the authorities throughout the monitoring process and will continue to do so moving forward.
We would like to once again apologize to those affected by the unpleasant odor since 12 May. We are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that this isolated incident does not occur again.
